DC Wine Walk

DC Wine Walk is an annual event that brings together wine lovers and restauranteurs in Washington, DC to create a tasting experience based on neighborhood. Wine walkers purchase a neighborhood ticket and receive 2 free tasting pours (one white, one red) at each location, experiencing different wines along the way.

Since it’s inception in 2018, DC Wine Walk has sold out within a month of opening ticket sales. My role for this marquee event was to create a marketing strategy that would expedite sales more through press mentions and word of mouth and less through paid media placements. Based on the virility of the event, tactics such as Instagram TV, partner-based giveaways, and booking morning news slots secured a successful event.
